Jennifer Long is an Occupational Optometry Specialist and a Certified Professional Ergonomist. She has completed a Bachelor of Optometry and a Master of Safety Science and offers a holistic approach to solving visual issues in the workplace.
Jennifer is an active member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society of Australia (HFESA) both at state and federal levels. At state level she has held the roles of NSW Branch chair and professional development coordinator. She is currently a director on the Federal Board of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society of Australia.
She also holds an appointment as an adjunct lecturer in the School of Human Movement Studies, University of Queensland and works as an optometrist in private practice.

Why choose a certified professional ergonomist?
A certified professional ergonomist is recognised by the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society as having expertise in ergonomics. To achieve this qualification, an ergonomist must have:
- Knowledge of all domains of ergonomics (i.e. physical, cognitive and organisational ergonomics)
- Completed an education program related to ergonomics
- Demonstrated their expertise with examples of their work
- A minimum of four years (or equivalent) full-time experience as an ergonomist.
Jennifer was awarded Certified Professional Ergonomist status in 2005.
