Workstation Design

The concern:

A control panel was being designed for a workplace.

Management wanted the display to be easy to see, comfortable to use and logical in design.

Analysis:

A task analysis was undertaken to determine the requirements of the job.

The solution:

The control panel was designed so that:

• The display had an adequate brightness, size and colour
• The arrangement of the controls and displays minimised the risk of error
• There were minimal sources of glare and reflections.
